Baptism and Filling of the SPIRIT leading to Fruit and Gifts of the SPIRIT

The above article with references is only separating the Baptism of the SPIRIT from the Filling of the SPIRIT. They are 2 different events that sometimes (like in Acts 2) happen at the same time. The Baptism of the SPIRIT only happens once, and the Filling of the SPIRIT happens multiple times and should occur daily (Eph 5:18). That is where the article above stops. The Baptism of the SPIRIT is a gift that cannot be earned and is given to every Believer when they become a Believer (Acts 2:38). The LORD the FATHER gives this gift of the LORD the SPIRIT, called the “Promise of the FATHER,” to each Believer/the-Church/the-Bride (Jhn 15:26; Luk 24:49; Acts 2:33; Gal 3:14). The Gift of the SPIRIT seals the marriage between the LORD, and the Believer and can not be revoked/taken-back because it is a gift (Acts 10:45; Heb 6:4; Eph 1:13, 14; Rom 11:29). At this point, the spirit of the Believer is made clean/holy, and the Believer is a born again a new creation/divine-creature (Jhn 3:6; Rom 8:9, 10, 11; 2 Cor 5:17). So, this Baptism of the SPIRIT is baptizing/cleaning the spirit of the Believer. The body/flesh of a Believer still remains unclean/unholy until they get a new body, which is why a Believer can still get sick and die at this time (Gal 5:16, 17). Believers have GOD the SPIRIT and all HIS blessings within themselves (Eph 1:3). This means all the Gifts of the SPIRIT that are given by the one SPIRIT are already in the Believer whether they desire them or walk in them as the LORD wills (Heb 2:4; 1 Cor 12:1, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11; 14:1). This Baptism of the SPIRIT that is sometime called justification is like when Yisra’el/Israel was raised up out of Mitzrayim/Egypt from out of the sea to be a Kingdom of Priests (Rom 4:23, 24, 25; 5:1, 2; Ex 14:29, 30; 19:5, 6). Then, the Sons of Yisra’el/Israel received meat/quail, mân/manna, and flowing “living water” from a rock as they were going to Mount Sinay (Sinai) (Ex 16:13, 14, 15, 21, 31; 17:6). Mân/manna this the Bread of Heaven that represents YESHUA the Word made flesh that a Believer partakes-of (Jhn 1:1, 14; 6:31, 35, 38, 41, 51, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58; Rom 6:3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8). The gift of the “living water” represents the Gift of the HOLY SPIRIT (Jhn 4:10, 14; 7:38, 39). Then, when the Sons of Yisra’el/Israel stood before Mount Sinay/Sinai, the LORD gave HIS marriage proposal to Yisra’el/Israel in Ex 19:3, 4, 5, 6 to be HIS possession, a Kingdom of Priests, and a Holy Nation. All of Yisra’el/Israel said “we do” to the proposal in Ex 19:8. When you have said “I do” to the LORD YESHUA’s marriage proposal of HIM being your HUSBAND, you are betrothed/married. YESHUA states HE is the Bridegroom in Matthew 9:15, Mark 2:19, and Luke 5:34, 35, with John confirming this in John 3:29. YESHUA left HIS FATHER and the SPIRIT and joined as one with the Church, HIS Bride, just as it is written of marriage in Genesis 2:24, “… a man will forsake/leave his father and his mother and cling/cleave/be-joined with his wife, and they shall be to (the) flesh/body one.”. Isaiah 54:5, Isaiah 62:5, John 3:29, Revelation 19:7, 8, Revelation 21:7, 8, 9; 2 Corinthians 11:2, and Ephesians 5:31, 32 all state the Church/Body-of-YESHUA is the Bride betrothed/married to YESHUA. YESHUA is a Jew of royalty from the tribe of Yehudah (Judah), and in a Jewish betrothal the Groom and the Bride are legally married. So, the bride is also the wife, and the groom is also the husband. During the betrothal process the bride is given a gift called the “promise of the father” to show the son/groom/husband will come back for his bride/wife. This can be seen in the gifts given to Rivqah/Rebekah (Gen 24:22, 33, 47, 48, 50, 51, 53). (The article on the Jewish marriage steps as seen in the Scripture is close to being done. Now, what about the Filling of the SPIRIT? If a Believer already has GOD in them how can they have more of GOD in them to have the fullness of GOD (Eph 3:19; 5:19)? John said in Jhn 3:30, “30 He must increase, but I must decrease.” How does a Believer decrease? By walking in and by the SPIRIT to crucify and decrease the flesh which is called sanctification (Rom 8:4; Gal 5:16, 24; 1 Th 4:3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8). John also said YESHUA would baptize with the HOLY SPIRIT and Fire (Mt 3:11, 12; Luk 3:16, 17). There are 2 interpretations of these verses which many will argue about. But, when there are 3 interpretations, there are 4 possible realities: both are wrong, one is right & one is wrong, or both are right. There are many times when both views are correct and this is the case for these verses. The 1st view is the Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is for the Believer and the Baptism of Fire is referring to when an unbeliever is thrown into the Lake of Burning Fire and Sulfur called the 2nd Death or the Final Hell (Rev 20:14, 15; 21:8). The 2nd view is the Baptism of Fire is also for the Believer. How can that be? Remember the Believer’s flesh/body is unclean and can become cleaner by refining them through fire as silver and gold are refined to be purified. The LORD said HE would do this in Mal 3:2, 3 & Zech 13:9. The chaff is the unclean flesh that is burned while the wheat is the clean flesh that is harvested, just as YESHUA will harvest the bodies of Believer when HE comes back for HIS Bride/the-Church during what is usually called the Rapture. So, the Filling by and of the SPIRIT cleanses the flesh/body by the Fire of the LORD the SPIRIT. As the spirit of the Believer is already baptized and clean, this Baptism of Fire is baptizing/cleaning the flesh of the Believer. As this Fire cleans the flesh when a Believer walks in and by the SPIRIT, the LORD the SPIRIT will show up more. The spirit cannot be seen, but the works of our body can be seen and felt. This Baptism of Fire that starts the Filling of the SPIRIT is passed from one Believer to another Believer by the laying on of hands (2 Tim 1:6; Acts 8:17; 19:6 and so on). This event is called the “Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT” by the Pentecostal Church. This has created some confusion and division in the Church/Body-of-YESHUA. So, this Baptism of Fire is decreasing the flesh of the Believer, and a Believer will many times say they felt the “Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT” as a burning sensation. Then the LORD can be heard and seen working in the body/flesh of a Believer by the Gifts of the SPIRIT that the Believer already had when they became a Believer (Acts 2:33, 38). Most of the time this Fire is passed from a Believer with the Fire laying their hands on a Believer without the Fire, like a piece of paper on fire is held against another piece of paper in order to catch it on fire. But, the Baptism of Fire can be given to Believers by the LORD without the laying on of hands as in Acts 10:44, 45.

Gifts of the SPIRIT

Joel 2:28, 29, 30, 31, 32 states: 28 “It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. 29 And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit. 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. 32 It will happen that whoever will call on the LORD’s name shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the LORD has said, and among the remnant, those whom the LORD calls.”
Acts 2:17, 18, 19, 20, 21 repeats Joel: 17 “It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams. 18 Yes, and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days, I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood, and fire, and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes. 21 It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Notice: these are the last days in which the SPIRIT is poured out on all HIS people.
John 14:12, 13, 14, 15, 16 states: “Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. 13 Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. 15 If you love me, keep my commandments. 16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:”
Notice: anyone who believes in YESHUA and is filled with the SPIRIT can by the SPIRIT do works that YESHUA did and even greater works.
Matthew 11:9, 10, 11, 12, 13 states: 9 “But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet. 10 For this is he, of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’ 11 Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. 12 From the days of John the Baptizer until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. 13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 If you are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, the (one) about to come.”
Notice: all true Believers are greater than John the Baptizer who was greater than anyone in the Old Testament (This includes Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Enoch, Daniel, Isaiah, Samson, and so on.) Also notice that YESHUA said Elijah is about to come even though HE is saying John the Baptist was Elijah who has already died at this point in time.
What was different about John the Baptizer?
Luke 1:14, 15, 16, 17 states: 13 “But the angel said to him, “Don’t be afraid, Zacharias, because your request has been heard. Your wife, Elizabeth, will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 16 He will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to prepare a people prepared for the Lord.” And, John 1:19, 20, 21 states: 19 “This is John’s testimony, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 He declared, and didn’t deny, but he declared, “I am not the Christ.” 21 They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” He answered, “No.”
So, YESHUA said John was a prophet and Elijah while John himself being filled with the SPIRIT said he was not a prophet or Elijah. How can both be true. The name Elijah in Hebrew is Eliyahu (H452) and is usually translated “my God is Jehovah” or “Yah(u) is God”. “El” means “GOD” (H410); the “i” mean “my” [ref]; “Yah” is a name of the LORD (H3050); and “u” means “of him”. So, the SPIRIT of Elijah means “the SPIRIT of my GOD YEHOVAH”. So, when YESHUA says Elijah comes, HE is talking about the SPIRIT of Elijah which is the HOLY SPIRIT, for John says he is not Elijah which is true. But, John has the SPIRIT within him since birth. And, though John is not a prophet in his flesh, by the SPIRIT that is working in him, he is a prophet.
Now, if any Believer is greater than anybody in the Old Testament who did great miracles; and, the SPIRIT is poured out in the “End Times” when Yisra’el/Israel has been brought back to the land of Yisra’el/Israel, which is now; and, any Believer can do greater works than YESHUA; I think that qualifies that the Gifts of the SPIRIT are still for Believers of today who are living in “End Time” before they see the “Perfect”, WHO is YESHUA, face to face (1 Cor 13:8, 9, 10, 11, 12).
What are the reasons for the Gifts of the SPIRIT?
Eph 4:10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 states: 10 “He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the Heavens, that he might fill all things. 11 He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; 15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ, 16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.” And, John 16:13, 14, 15 states: 13 “However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes† of mine and will declare it to you.” And John 17:21 states: 21 “that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.” And 1 Cor 12:7 states: 7 “But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.”
So, the SPIRIT fulfills the purpose of the LORD: for equipping the Believer for service, for building up the Church, for making the Church one with the LORD and itself, attaining unity/oneness, knowledge of the LORD, perfection in YESHUA, speaking the truth in love, all in love.
And, another topic that will be covered under marriage is the Gifts of the SPIRIT being a marriage gift to the Bride/the-Church when each Believer says “I do” to the LORD’s marriage proposal.
So, what are the Gifts of the SPIRIT?

Even though this is the normal list, does this mean this is the full list of what the LORD the SPIRIT does or will do through a Believer? Shimshon/Samson had very great strength by the SPIRIT of the LORD (Jdg 13:24, 25). Betzal’el/Bezalel was filled with the “SPIRIT (of) GOD/ELOHIM in wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and in all workmanship/occupation/ministry” (Ex 31:2, 3). Philip was by the SPIRIT moved from one city to another city instantly (Acts 8:39, 40). Elisha’s heart/mind went with Geychaziy/Gehazi (2 Kgs 5:26). There are more things the SPIRIT can do through a Believer. It is important not to place the LORD in a box of our own making.

The Greek word “talanton” (G5007), translated in English as “talent,” is a weight of money/gold/silver equal to about 57.3-130 pounds [ref]. The Hebrew word “kikkar” (H3603) has the meaning of “circle” or “round” and is also used as the name of the “round” weight of money/gold/silver that is equal to about 63.5 pounds that is also translated as “talent” in English [ref]. The word talanton is also the origin of the English word talent, as in a skill [ref]. So, the Old-Testament/Scripture “talent” is the same as the New-Testament/Scripture “talent.” The only time talent is used in the New-Testament/Scripture is in the parable of the talents found in Mt 25:14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30. The first time the word talent is used in the Old-Testament/Scripture is in the only weight/dimensions given for the Golden Lampstand that was in the Tabernacle (Ex 25:31, 39). The 3 items in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle/Temple are the Table of Showbread, the Alter of Incense, and the Golden Lampstand.
