After Death
(This move is one of my favorite movies. I don’t really like documentaries, and this is a documentary. I feel like they failed by not delivering a clear gospel message in this movie. But, this will remove any fear of death a Believer may have and even create an excitement of the time we will be with the LORD after we die. And, this movie will give a person who has lost a believing family member or friend to death a peace/shalom and reassurance that is real.)

I have mixed feelings about this movie. It may be better than the 1st movie, but if you have read the Healing and War Plans articles, in faith I’m not wanting to grow and move completely in the same direction as the movie.

This is not the Bible. It is a show using Scripture as the backdrop. I like this series, but I do have 2 major issues with it that I do not want to endorse. There is one scene where Jesus refuses to heal a person. YESHUA’s ministry was to set the captives free, HE heal everyone that came to HIM every time according to the Scriptures. Another major issue is Jesus lies and then says he is joking (I don’t think it happens until the 4th season). This is not a concept anywhere in Scripture. YESHUA never sinned. Any lie is a sin. In fact, Prv 26:18, 19 shows deception is a sin even if you say you’re joking. So, why isn’t this show just removed from the list? Because it is better than any Jesus movie/series before it. It is better than most Christian shows/movies. It is well worth watching a least once. The show was made by mere men who are sinners; it should be expected not to be perfect. In a way, it helps not to elevate the character who plays Jesus to a status any higher than an actor/man.
My wife and I both agree Season 5 is going down hill compared to the other seasons. Scripture is being misquoted or misinterpreted, which can be misleading if a person does not go to the Bible to check out what was truly stated in the context of the rest of Scripture. Greek/Roman mythology is brought into the script as they stay at a home with many Greek/Roman idols during the Passover. Jesus is shown as not having patience. I’m hoping and praying it turns around.

Missionary movie based on a true story. It was ok and it is a sad movie. The cameraman is not part of the original true story, he is a character to help tell the story.

(I was not going to watch this movie do to the material, but it was recommended by someone I trust. So, I watched it with my family, who are all older in age (13+). It was a very good movie with very good theology and a well thought out explanation of the war between the LORD and the enemy and man’s place in that war.)
