Ezekiel 40:1 gives the timing of the vision of Yechezqel (Ezekiel) as the 25th year of exile, the year 3431 AC (582 BC), on the 10th day in the month at the beginning of the year. There is a debate whether the month at the beginning of the year is in the 7th month of ha’Ethanim (Tishri) or in the 1st month of ha’Aviv (Nisan). The vision also occurred in the 14th year after Yerushalaim (Jerusalem) was taken/struck (Ezk 40:1). This would be after the 2nd siege of Nebukhadnetztzar (Nebuchadnezzar II) after the 12th Hebrew month of his 8th year, 3415 AC (598-597 BC). The following table shows the only way for everything to fit is if the month at the beginning of the year is ha’Ethanim/Tishri, making the 10th day Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) [Table]. (Making the beginning of the year ha’Aviv [Nisan] either places the date within the 15th year after Yerushalaim/Jerusalem was taken/struck or places the date within the 24th year of exile.) The year of 3431 AC (582 BC) was also a 49 count Yovel/Jubilee.
On the 7th day of the 10th Roman month of 3450 AC (562 BC), Nebukhadnetztzar (Nebuchadnezzar II) died in his 43rd year [23]. ’Evil-Merodak (Amel-Marduk/Evil-merodach) became king of Babel/Bavel (Babylon) at this time. But, because Babylonian kings’ 1st year did not start until the 1st month in the spring, ’Evil-Merodak/Amel-Marduk/Evil-merodach 1st year as king did not start until 3 days before the 1st month on the 27th day of the 12th month of 3451 AC (561 BC), when ’Evil-Merodak/Amel-Marduk/Evil-merodach released Yehoyakhin/Yekanyah/Kanyahu (Jehoiachin/Jeconiah/Coniah) from prison 37 years after he had been placed into prison in the year 3415 AC (597 BC) (2 Kgs 25:27; Jer 52:31) [24]. Then, ’Evil-Merodak/Amel-Marduk/Evil-merodach died in the 8th Roman month of 3452 AC (560 BC) and Nergal-shar-’etser Rab-mag (Neriglissar) became king of Babel/Bavel/Babylon [25] (Jer 39:3, 13). Nergal-shar-’etser Rab-mag (Neriglissar) reigned until he died in the 4th Roman month of 3456 AC (556 BC) [25]. (Labashi-Marduk) then became king of Babel/Bavel/Babylon for about a 1 month before being overthrown and killed [26]. Nabonidus then became king of Babel/Bavel/Babylon and reigned with his son Belshazzar as crown-prince until the 3rd or 4th year of Nabonidus when Belshazzar became a co-regent king [ref-1]. Belshazzar was a co-regent king for 14 or 15 years, reigning a total of 17 years, until both kings were fully defeated in the 10th Roman month of 3475 AC (539 BC) after the Battle of Opis [27] [ref-1] [28] (Dan 5:1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30).
Kings of Maday (Mede) & Paras (Persia) / (Achaemenid Empire)
During the 10th Roman month of 3475 AC (539 BC), Darius the Maday/Mede (Cyaxares II) and Cyrus II of Paras/Persia (as co-regent king) began to reign over Yisra’el/Israel [29] [27b] [ref-2]. Darius the Maday/Mede (Cyaxares II) died 2 years later
